Steven Hall

Steven Hall joined Brookvine as CEO in 2006. Steve leads Brookvine’s business and is a passionate advocate of alternative investment strategies. Steve searches for talented fund managers globally to bring innovative and unconventional investment opportunities to market. He has over 20 years of investment experience, including broad knowledge of funds marketing, product design, and investment management. Steve has strong relationships across the investment industry.

Steve is also a non-executive director of Brookvine’s investment affiliate, Balmain Investment Management Limited.

Prior to joining Brookvine, Steve was Head of Asset Management at ipac Securities Limited (then owned by the AXA Group) with overall responsibility for ipac’s $13bn multi-manager business. He was also Chairman of ipac’s Investment Committee. Steve worked with ipac for 14 years and played a lead role in founding ipac’s multi-manager business, directing its expansion in the Asia Pacific region and growing it to be one of the leading Australasian businesses of its type. Amongst earlier roles at ipac Steve was also Head of Investments and Head of Asset Consulting. In the latter role, he provided investment consulting services to various state government, industry superannuation fund, university endowment, and charitable organisations.

Prior to joining ipac Steve was a management consultant working with SMEs and specialising in regional economic development planning in Australia’s Top End. Before that, he was an accountant at Arthur Andersen & Co.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales.

  • is a listed entity or a related body corporate of a listed entity; or
  • is an exempt public authority; or
  • is a person who is a body corporate or an unincorporated body that carries on a business of investment in financial products, interests in land or other investments, and for those purposes invests funds received following an offer or invitation to the public where the terms of the offer provided for the funds subscribed to be invested for those purposes; or
  • is a foreign entity that, if established or incorporated in Australia, would be covered by one of the preceding paragraphs.
