Axiom Asia Private Capital (Axiom Asia) is an independent fund management firm focused on investing in top-tier Asian-focused private equity funds diversified across buyout, growth and venture capital. Established in 2006, Axiom Asia currently manages four private equity funds-of-funds, with total commitments of over US$3.5 billion.
Brookvine assisted with the Australian and New Zealand components of raise of Axiom Private Capital Fund II, L.P. and Axiom Asia Private Capital Fund III, L.P.
BCS Capital
Long short and long only Australian equities
BCS Capital was an independent Australian equities manager and was owned by its Directors, executive staff and Brookvine Pty Ltd. It was established in 2007 and had a pioneering approach in Australian equities management – identifying each company’s fundamental profit drivers with quantitative implementation. BCS Capital was closed in 2012.
Blue Sky Water Partners
Australian water entitlements
Blue Sky Water Partners Pty Limited (BSWP) is a pioneer of investment in Australian water entitlements. Brookvine was a shareholder in BSWP and played a significant role in the funding of the business, development of the organisation and the marketing of its investment offers. Brookvine exited BSWP in December 2011 and it has since been fully absorbed into Blue Sky Alternative Investments (ASX: BLA).
Castle Harlan
Mid market US private equity
Castle Harlan, Inc. was founded in 1987 and is a leading mid-market buyout firm in the United States. Its roots reach back to the start of the institutionalised private equity market in the 1960s and the pioneering use of private equity limited partnerships as investment vehicles. Brookvine was engaged to advise on the Australian and New Zealand components of the fund raise of Castle Harlan Partners V, L.P.
Champ Private Equity
Australian private equity
CHAMP Private Equity was founded in 2000 and is one of Australia’s largest independent buyout funds managers. It brought together Australian Mezzanine Investments (AMIL), a pioneer of the Australian private equity market, and Castle Harlan Inc. (CHI), a leading US mid-market buyout specialist.
Brookvine worked closely as the Australian advisor to CHAMP Buyout Funds II. CHAMP II targeted acquisitions with an enterprise value of between A$100 million and A$500 million.
Charter Hall

Charter Hall Group is an ASX listed property funds management and development company (ASX: CHC). It is one of Australia’s leading property groups, with a total managed property portfolio of $19.0 billion.
Brookvine has worked as the advisor to Charter Hall Opportunity Fund and Charter Hall Core Plus Office Fund.
Deutsche Asset Management
European infrastructure
Deutsche Asset Management’s infrastructure investment business has been investing in infrastructure assets since 1992. It has nearly 50 investment professionals in key markets around the world managing approximately €10 billion in assets.
Brookvine was engaged to advise the Deutsche AM European Infrastructure team on the Australian and New Zealand components of the raise of the Pan-European Infrastructure Fund (PEIF) II.
Fermat Capital Management LLC
Insurance Linked Securities
Fermat was formed in 2001 and is a specialist investment manager with US$5.9 billion assets under management and 16 years’ experience managing catastrophe risk portfolios.
Brookvine established and raised funds for the Fermat ILS Yield Fund, from institutional and high net worth investors in Australia and New Zealand. In total, Brookvine raised $680m for Fermat’s ILS strategies.
HarbourVest
Global private equity - fund of funds, secondaries and co-investing
HarbourVest Partners, LLC is a pioneer of fund of fund investing across the venture capital and buyout markets in the US, Europe and elsewhere. It has been leading and shaping the industry for over 30 years and was one of the first firms to invest across all parts of the private equity spectrum — funds, secondaries and direct co-investing.
Brookvine worked closely as the Australian advisor to a range of HarbourVest Partners US, International and Asian Venture, Buyout, Mezzanine and Secondaries Funds.
Pacific Equity Partners
Australian private equity
Pacific Equity Partners (PEP) is a leading private equity firm based in Sydney with $8.7 billion funds under management. It invests in Australian and New Zealand management buyouts, industry consolidations, divestitures and late-stage expansion capital. PEP is frequently recognised by the industry as a leader and has received many industry awards.
Brookvine worked closely with PEP as the advisor to PEP Fund II and PEP Fund III.
QS Investors
Smart beta investing in global and emerging market equities
QS Investors was formed in 1999 and developed unique approaches to integrating quantitative and behavioural investment insights and dynamically weighting opportunities in response to changing economic and market conditions. Risk identification, assessment and management are intrinsic to their process.
Brookvine was appointed as advisor for a range of QS funds, investing in global equities and emerging markets. QS became a wholly-owned, independently-managed affiliate of Legg Mason, Inc. in 2014, at which time Brookvine stepped aside from its advisory relationship with QS.
Shearwater Capital
Australian opportunistic debt
Shearwater Capital Group had an opportunistic mandate to invest in illiquid credit opportunities and other special situations across the corporate (including resources and infrastructure) and real estate sectors.
Brookvine was engaged to advise on the raise of the Shearwater Capital Special Opportunities Fund I.
TrueBridge Capital Partners
Venture capital
TrueBridge Capital is a fund of funds manager focused on investing in well established, high performing and typically difficult to access US and global venture capital and growth equity managers. It was founded in 2007 and manages $1.8 billion in institutional assets.
Brookvine was engaged to advise on the Australian and New Zealand components of the raise of the TrueBridge-Kauffman Fellows Endowment Fund II.
Wolseley Private Equity
Australian private equity
Wolseley Private Equity is an Australian-based private equity manager. It was founded in 1999 and invests in Australian and New Zealand companies with enterprise values between $20 million and $150 million.
Brookvine was engaged to advise on Wolseley Private Equity Fund II.
Citizenship
Charitable giving is an vital part of Brookvine’s culture.
Brookvine’s staff are encouraged to give generously of their time to charitable ventures and community organisations. Across the team there are active members of various industry associations, a surf lifesaving club, sporting clubs, schools and university organisations. Our staff are also board members of charities and other foundations.
Brookvine donates to a number charitable causes, particularly those that our Directors and staff are involved with. Brookvine also advocates the highest standard of transparency, governance, sustainability and ethical behaviour. We also play an active role in industry education and the support of industry associations.
